The largest wooden church in Australia and one of the largest in the world.
It has a lovely exterior and interior , though certainly not as grand as the cathedral nearby, its quaintness reflects its long history in the town.
The church features a display of an early settler priest's chair, or what to me more resembles a tree stump dating to 1852.

Serene and pious atmosphere in the church. The parish priest always greets everyone with a smile. Went there initially to get my car blessed. The parish office staff are also very helpful if you need to buy some article. Has a mass on weekdays at 12:10 in the noon, which is convenient to attend if you're having an off at work!
A nice old wooden church with some history behind it. Very friendly parishioners here with a welcoming community and lots of children especially on Sundays. A youth group is held after the afternoon Sunday mass with all youth and young adults welcome (they have free pizza!😋)
Music during mass could do with a bit of change sometimes.
Very welcoming very historic church in Gold town Bendigo.... priests are good and listen like others.could have Monday Mass or communion for many tourists. For view and booklets See the Cathedral too most awesome in bush and rivals capitsls in Stations Cross... B Mary and Jesu Statute.... on a hill. Catholic got best spot for once not Anglican.
This is a nice, underrated church. The sermons are delivered by Rob Galea, who is a young and insightful priest. I recommend going to soak in the atmosphere, as there is plenty of songs throughout the mass. Be careful of parking, as you will miss out if you arrive late.
We visited St Kilian's on our ancestry research weekend. It was awesome to see inside the church where my Great Great Grandparents married well over 100 years ago This is a lovely old church with some beautiful stained glass windows. The organ is quite impressive!
I usually go to St Killians for Mass on Sundays and with the lockdown we have been able to still watch mass but online, they are amazing with still doing Mass even if we are in lockdown and the priest and the parishioners are all involved with everything that happens and its a great community to be apart of.
